Falling Into Place

All I’ve ever wanted is to get out from under my mother’s oppressive thumb and use my fundraising talents for people who really need my help, not the politicians and faux charities my mother pushes in my path. But since I was mugged two months ago, I’ve been too scared to leave my family townhouse. My only escape has been the Oak Hill Farm video channel, where the gruff-yet-sultry voice of English farmer Declan Wright has ignited a flame in my dark and dreary life.

When the latest video reveals the farm is in dire financial straits, I gather my courage and jump on a plane to England, determined to put my skills to good use. But Declan is not what I expected. First of all, he’s smoking hot, with stormy gray eyes and bulging biceps. Secondly, he’s rude, he’s grumpy, and he’s as stubborn as one of Oak Hill’s mules. Even though he admits the farm needs my help, he refuses to accept my offer unless I survive five days of farm work. I’m not one to back down from a challenge, determined to prove to this grouch that I’m tougher than I look.

As the days pass, Declan begins to reveal a soft heart beneath that gruff exterior—and the sizzling tension between us becomes impossible to ignore. But is our passion strong enough to bridge the gap between our two different worlds?
