Rachel

It’s just a fling.

It’s just a summer fling.

A SECRET summer fling.

I have to keep reminding myself of that because the rest of this relationship scares me to death. It’s a secret summer fling with my friend’s YOUNGER BROTHER. He’s seven years younger than me and home from college for the summer. He is the complete opposite of the Mr. Right I have been envisioning. I’m ready to start a life with someone, and he’s just starting his last year of college. This whole thing is doomed before it even starts, but there is something about Ethan I can’t stay away from.

So I’ll cave and agree to see him, just one summer of romantic dinners and hot, steamy nights. After I get him out of my system, I’ll focus on finding a real, lasting relationship… I hope.

Rachel is… damn… Rachel is everything. I first saw her at 17 through my sister’s office window. I had a crush on her, as I’m sure every other guy did. We never met, but she was burned into my brain as the perfect woman.

Two years later, I’m home for the summer, and I finally meet Rachel. Something between us clicks. There is an attraction, and I’m lucky it’s mutual. But the number of hurdles in our way make a real relationship impossible, even if I want her more than I’ll ever admit.

The rules are simple. It is only for the summer, it’s just a fling, and it stays a secret.
