Dr. Kane McGregor and firefighter Alison Bryson struggle to find their footing in their relationship. Kane’s mother wants him to get back into the OR, but he is scared his PTSD from the car accident that killed his former fiancée will flare up. He blames himself for Sophie’s death, and his self-recrimination drives a wedge between him and Alison. He decides to leave her for her own good so he won’t be able to hurt her too. But Alison doesn’t agree with this decision, and is determined to make Kane see reason. Will Alison be able to show Kane that she can help him heal from his trauma?
