Elaina is a young woman who has experienced love to only have it ripped away from her violently. Running Wolf, head warrior of the Northern Choctaw tribe, is a fighter who’s lost his only family. He is a determined man who’s ready to let go of his life. Until one day, he lays eyes on a red-haired woman that washed up on the banks of his tribe. It hardly matters if he known her a minute or a lifetime. He vows he would die to protect her, and he would kill any man who would steal her away.

These two hurt souls meet each other and slowly heal their wounds and find that love can get a second chance, and family is not only about blood.
