I’m awkward, socially inept, and if it wasn’t for the men in my club who I now call brother, I’m unsure if I’d still be kicking around this ol’ earth. Life isn’t kind to those who face challenges, especially when they’re not physically visible. Still, I’m not without blood family, so when I find out my cousin’s club, the Devil’s Riot MC, has placed an order for custom helmets, I offer to make the delivery. That way, I can see my cousin, Honor, as well, and meet her roommate. I never expected to leave for my trip as soon as I did, nor did I expect it to be because Honor’s been taken.

Only, after meeting Delaney and being totally captivated by her, I have to wonder, who’s rescuing whom?

When I realize my roommate is facing an imminent medical crisis, I head to her workplace to see what’s going on. I never expected to hear that she didn’t show up, or to find her car with evidence to suggest she was taken. Countless calls to her brother go unanswered, so I try the next person on her ICE list; her cousin.

Meeting Asa, or Glacier as his patch on his leather vest denotes, sends sparks of awareness through me, but Honor is more important right now. I can always explore how I’m feeling later, right?
