New Boss, Fake Husband
One little trip and one big lie may determine the rest of our lives . . .
Fresh out of Yale Law and straight into my dream job at Harrison & Edwards. What could go wrong, you ask? Well, let’s start with everything. First up, a work trip with a boss I’ve never met. Oh, and did I mention I’m terrified of flying?
You’d think that would be enough, right? Wrong. Try venting about your soon-to-be boss to a handsome stranger—only to find out that Mr. Mysterious is your superior. Yeah, and I’m just getting started.
Things go from bad to “you’ve got to be kidding me” when the world assumes we’re married. As in, Mr. I-Have-All-The-Answers and Miss Freaked-Out-By-Flying are the newest lovebirds. Talk about irony. And as if the universe couldn’t twist the knife further, cue the entrance of the soon-to-be ex-wife. Drama, anyone?
It’s going to be a long week pretending to be madly in love with Ben “Bossman” Harrison. Yet, it seems that the more we fake it, the less fake the whole thing feels. And now I’m wondering—kicking myself—if I’m blessed or the blunt of a joke!
